Help Needed - easter Egg Hunt

I saw somewhere where a club did an Easter Egg Hunt - as coordinatorof the shops club, I think why not us? So I puit it on the calendar - now I need to know how to run one

Anyone with an idea or greatly appreciated!

Put certificates for free gear, discounts, what ever in the eggs. Put a limit of x number of eggs can be turned in by one diver. If you want to take it one further, do a golden egg and give away a big $$ item.

Seems like it isn't an uncommon thing. Google it and you get a bunch of hits. So far they either use hardboiled eggs so the degrade if not found. Or plastic with rocks or golf balls inside so they sink.

Restaurant certs seem popular as well for prizes..

We've done this for several years and it's a great time.

The plastic eggs typically won't all be found, so you can use them for other things like Search and Recovery classes.

Real eggs are also cool, since the lost eggs just become fish food after a little while.

Whichever you use, just bring them up and give each finder "X" (number of eggs) chances to draw from a bucket full of prize slips.

PS. Fresh eggs sink, old eggs tend to get floaty (as the liquid evaporates, leaving an air space).

Just an FYI so your "hunt" doesn't turn into a "float"

Man tough crowd!!! I'd be lying if I said I work better under pressure, however, we try and have a theme for each dive if possible. However, I am pretty weak at that, so I figgere what the heck. Kinda like Field of Dreams - dream it and they will dive!

I anticipate very few people as the temps will be in the 40's still as Easter is very early April. Right now we are facings single digit lows, and more snow for the 4th or 5th day in a row, and they are saying same temps thru the weekend. So, if it continues like this, we'll have ice, and I can remember ice not melting until almost St Paddy's Day, which puts April 7th in the very nipply category.

So I think maybe a few eggs with a number that corresponds to a prize, alot of restaurant coupons, and maybe some trinkets. Compared to our Treasure Hunt, this will be small potatoes (last year Treasure Hunt had 117 participants so mfrs trip over each other to participate).

Of course, we will be doing it locally, so come on up, Owensboro is not that far away!!

They won't find all the eggs, so if you plan on giving away all the prizes, you'll have to use the found numbered eggs for a drawing.
