ah... hmmm... methinks thou missest the thrust of the thing, as it were

personally, we don't care what you do/don't do at work. that is premise the first

premise the second is that we need some guidelines as to what is "acceptable"
and what is "not acceptable" for the large and varied population that constitutes
ScubaBoard's membership

premise the third is that we decided we would go with a "workplace friendly"
standard, which would test any image (or text) with the following question:
would you let the average, corporate America boss, see this on your screen
and be ok with it?

thus, it is, as you see, a test to guide us whilst we post to ScubaBoard, wether
such posting take place from a den of iniquity or the Vatican itself...

this standard, by the way, is an evolving thing at the moment, and it's not quite
ready to be unveiled fully, but i'm just sharing it with you guys since this thread
was almost impossible to discuss without making reference to the standard
