Help me decide on the wife's birthday gift!

Looking for opinions/ or additional suggestions on what to get the wife. My two leading choices are quite different- either a necklace to go along with a few other pieces of jewelry or a dive scooter. Now before everyone chooses a scooter, I should mention it would probably be a seadoo gti, or perhaps this one http://www.x-tremescooters.com/sea_scooters/x150/x150.html

Now she has told me she'd like scuba gear (specifically dry gloves) but those are already on the way from other family members....

And I should also mention the scooter would be used on shore dives and specifically to save us the surface swim at places like La Jolla Shores. And also to make the local lake dives more interesting. Any other ideas are also welcome! Thanks!

Yes, I don't think I'd consider an underwater scooter if she wasn't a diver
