Thanks, everyone, for the recent replies. An update:

Last week, the photo found its way to the former director and shark expert at the Indo Ocean Project. She is currently writing a paper on Snaggletooth distribution in Indonesia, as there have been a few sightings around Nusa Penida (off Bali) and Lombok. She 100% confirms this is a Snaggletooth and is quite possibly the first real evidence of them inside the Komodo National Park.

That's great! Still hope you consider uploading to iNaturalist--that way your important record and good photo would be easily accessible in a public database. Photos from some of the Bali sightings are already there. If you are not familiar with iNaturalist, it's non-commercial, free, and painless to register: iNaturalist
