I'm a Fish!
I have a fill adapter here and I have no idea what it goes to. It attaches to a main tank, but then has an external thread and an o-ring. It has "4000 PSI SERVICE" marked on it and has one of those pressure gauges where the white button sticks out to show when it's full. The threaded tip appears to be a 1/2" thread. I'm working on posting a picture. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

OK, I don't know how/if to post a picture I have saved to my computer.

So this may be cheating, but my profile picture is the adapter in question!

I have no idea what it is, but here is your picture ..maybe someone else can identify it

Looks like a Spare Air filler.

The spare air filler has a female thread, where as this one has a male thread. It looks like it would need an adapter to mount to a spare air...

The best guess told to me as of its use was: "ADAPTER from the ADAPTER......Your adapter will allow you to fill a standard yoke valve off of the OEM Spare air adapter"

I have 2 thoughts. Maybe it's an actual scuba yoke fill adapter, but I doubt it. Maybe a paintball cylinder filler? to fill a paintball cylinder from a scuba tank?

A CO2 tank for a paintball marker has a male threaded tip. I don't see how this would mount without the use of an additional adapter.

What do you mean by "actual scuba yoke fill adapter"

Would that make sense? Seeing as there is a pressure gauge (primitive at that) and the rating is 4000 PSI?

Hi, I'm new to this forum and was doing a search for refill adapters when I came across this thread. The adapter you have is for a Spare Air from the late 1980's and early 1990's. I have two of these Spare Airs and have been unable to use them as I lost the adapter. If you are willing to sell me this adapter I would be extremely appreciative. I'm in Johannesburg, South Africa and if you are willing to sell it I would need you to let me know a price including the postal fee to South Africa.
