I thought you would like that statement.

Might not be too bad... maybe you can sell your camera on ebay and pick up one of the cheaper canon's that have a "canon" housing.... A40 or S45... not sure of the models. I'm guessing they run around 200-400, plus a housing for maybe 200 or so (US dollars).

Raxafarian, I forgot to thank you for the good links on "How to get started" ! I think I have MUCH to learn... But as norcaldiver said, everyone has been a newbie... I hope some day I can make pictures that are worth posting here !

I'll try to find a housing for my Sony, it would be a shame to sell it back now...

you can get that Ewa-Marine housing that is some type of bag ... give it a try, and if it floods you will be forced into buying a new camera... if it doesn't flood, then that will give you a start.

Its fairly cheap... 70.00 dollars or so, I think..

Maybe insure your camera... then you'll have some cash towards a new one if it does flood.
