Well, not really sure what to include here so I guess I will start from the beginning how I began diving. Because of my college major, Ocean Engineering, I decided I wanted to get involved in diving. I was certified open water in Spring of 2001. I didn't get much diving in until I started my senior project. My senior team project was to design and construct a human powered submarine, which you had to be on scuba. So it gave me a great excuse to need dive equipment! During school, I didn't have much time for diving.

My first ocean dive was in Key Largo, FL with a friend on some near shore reefs in Fall of 2004. (My open water certification dive which was scheduled for the ocean had to be changed due to bad weather so I had my checkout dive in Crystal River that is why my first ocean dive was three years after my open water certification.) I have also been diving on the Spiegel Grove. I wanted to get more into diving so I decided to get advanced certified. I was just recently advanced and nitrox certified in January of 2005.

Lately, I have been doing the majority of my diving in Boynton Beach, FL. My max depth has been around 95 feet. I am currently working on getting my Stress and Rescue certification. I love diving and hope to get more involved.

Best Way to get better at diving, more diving. Glad to hear your continueing. The University of Washington has a bunch of students going through certification right now for their Human Powered Sub program here in Seattle.
