Hello to all,

I was certified back in the 1970s did some diving close to home down in southern Calif. and took one trip to the Bahamas.

I haven't been diving for a long, long time. I've recently retired (on disability) from a 30 year career of car giving. My form of disability may or may not keep me from rediscovering diving, I hope not. But more and more it has come to my mind to take a refresher course and dive again. Of course another factor will be cost. I now live, happily, in Vancouver WA so any diving I want to do is either cold water, the San Juan Islands or a major trip. Cold water diving is a problem because the hole in my spinal cord causes me to tire quickly so by the time I am suited up with all that is needed I am too tired to go into the water. As for the major trip, well, with some self dicipline and a lot of time I may save up the money to go, we shall see.

In any case . . . hello.

Chris

Welcome!! Any question you have, you can probably find a post about it in the archives, or just ask away and someone will steer you to an answer.

I hope you are able to dive again. A refresher course is a good idea. But I was confused by one term in your hello. Car giving?
