Wow...first post! Big blank canvas....eep!

*takes deep breath* :11:

Right...I'm very new to Scuba, I go for my first ever class on Saturday. I am very excited and a teeny bit scared (watched Jaws last night, not very clever! :icon10:).

I live in the U.K, I'm in my early twenties and I'm not the perfect physique for Scuba Diving (small and round...very round ;) )

So that's me!

Welcome to diving and to ScubaBoard.

I'm sure you will love diving.

This is a great place to learn about anything diving related.

Welcome to the board and good luck with your class this Saturday. You will find lots of very informative forums and great & friendly people here.

Make sure you put your specific location on your profile, that way you can meet other UK divers close to you.

Safe diving,
Maria

Oh, I think that watching Jaws is excellent preparation for diving. And Thunderball, The Deep, The Abyss, and, lest we forget, Open Water!

(Of course, I love to scare myself! Maybe watch Jaws before a night dive...)

Good luck in your course - please write a report in the New2Scuba forum describing your experience. It's always nice to see our sport through new eyes.

Welcome to the board and the sport,
Grier

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

You'll do fine! Let us know how your class goes.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.

Welcome to the board from the west side of the pond! By the way, that "scared" feeling will soon turn into "exhilaration." Good luck!

Welcome to SB. Don't worry about the class, it will present challenges but you'll feel great afterwards. Have fun with it, and spend some time with the Search button here - there are several years of wisdom in past posts, and if you can't find any, the rest is usually pretty entertaining. Dive safe,

Doc

Welcome to the board. Just relax and listen to your instructor. There is no other hobby like diving. Its adictive. Or, so they tell me. I have only been diving since 1977 and I know I could quit anytime if I really wanted to...........Good Luck
