New to the community. I am a diver in the Monterey Bay area. I currently dive with a 7mm semi-dry suit, boots, hood, & gloves. Reg is 1st stage ScubaPro MK20 w/ a D400 2nd stage, Aqualung octo, Cobra Suunto computer, Zeagle Concept BCD, Atomic Aquatics splitfins. I am PADI OW, SSI AOW, and SSI Nitrox certified.

I was 1st certified in 6/2000, but had to take time off from 2001 til June of this year. I wouldn't know what level to put myself at, not a beginner, not an instructor, some experience with a lot of willingness to learn more and keep upgrading my skills.

I listed my gear and experience so that anyone inquiring would have an idea of what I know and use and vise versa. I look forward to learning from the members of this community. I found this board searching for information on adjusting my D400 reg. I recently had it serviced but its not breathing as easy as before, would like to try adjusting it. Anyone with experience, please feel free to share your knowledge and experience with me, as I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks and a wonderful diving to all

ps. if you're from the Bay Area, would love to know it, always looking for dive buddies, especially people who can dive during the weekday, Thurs/Friday.

I may be new to the DiverBoard but I have been diving for over 30 years. Started out back in the 60's in Houston using a Dacor doublehose. Over the years I have purchased a lot of gear new that today is being advertised a "vintage or classic". Still have my Scubapro Mk5 and use it each year. I own a doublehose too but it has not gotted wet outside the pool in many years. You should check out www.divetexas.com to see what diving is like here in the 'lone star state".

Hello from Matt, :thumb:

Welcome to SB! :1poke: I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :snorkels:

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Definitely check out the NorCal section of the California Kelp Divers forum. You should be able to find many new buddies in the Bay Area there. :crafty:

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
