I've actually been a member for some time but have never posted before. I was certified as an OW diver in July 2002 and have already been diving in Maui, Hawaii; Key Largo, Florida; Monterey, California; Catalina, California; Beqa Island, Fiji; and, several lakes in central California. My husband and I are going back to Maui in October of this year and back to Key Largo over Thanksgiving of next year. Then we plan to renew our wedding vows (10 years) in the Cook Islands the following year (2006).

I was extremely afraid of water I could not see in for years...then I discovered scuba diving..now, there is no longer the fear of the unknown..I have discovered a whole new world under the ocean and have fallen head over heals in love with it!

Ahoy there tjtedrow! Welcome to the board!! Feel free to jump in anywhere and ask questions or just leave your 2psi. You may be intersted in the Scuba Board Clubs section of the board. There you can find clubs in all the major states/regions represented, coordinate meeting up for dives, getting together, trips around the state to different dive sites, and some general prattle about diving.

Another forum that may interest you is The Art of Scuba Diving. Under that heading you'll find New to Scuba, Dive into Fitness, Public Safety and many more that as you become involed with the sport may or may not interest you depending upon where your intersts grow.

Most importantly, have fun and don't feel shy to ask questions!
