Hi just literally joined here. I am from Montreal (suburbs) and got my PADI OWC last August.

Looking for a dive buddy and where to start on buying my own gear...

I have the inexpensive stuff; wetsuit, mask, fins , snorkel.....so hopefully I will find unbiased answers here and a buddy or two!

I live in Oregon but I make regular trips up to British Columbia, for some of the best cold-water diving I know.

You say you were certified last August. Have you done much diving since?
