Hello Friend,

A new sport diver here! I just got started into my Naui Certification course, Getting private instruction in my home pool and open water in the Frigid NW waters! My daughter just finished her Scuba cert. and I am excited to start diving with her!

Already planning a trip in July to Grand Cayman and feel blessed to find this great site!

Never to old to get started! 50+ but feeling young and loving life!
Last diving I did was 35+ years ago with an old aqualung J valve and dual hose regulator in the Tanana River in Fairbanks Ak 38F water in a 3/8 wetsuit!!

Tim

Tim,

My age and story are similar to yours. I got re-certified a couple of years ago, and it's about the best thing I've ever done. Enjoy!

Welcome from another 50+ relatively recently certified diver.

There are a fair number of us 50ish types recently off long Surface Intervals on this board.
Welcome to Scubaboard & welcome back to diving.

Welcome aboard and good luck with completing your certification.

You must have started about the same time I did Tim.
The only difference is I never had to stop.

People marvel at the old dual-50's with a double-hose regulator displayed at my local dive shop. Little do they know that was my starter set. I loaned it to them as a history display they have in one counter.

There are still some of us here that remember black neoprene and talcum powder as the best you could get.

Congrat's on re-starting this psort with your daughter. Way to go!

Dive Safe.
