I am new to scubaboard, even though I lived in Homestead, Fl. for over 15 years and get my marine tech knowledge at M.D.C.C, downtown campus, river site.

Now I am in Colombia doing some skin diving called "careteo" after working in Cartagena's wreck salvage at 120 feet deep, some spanish galeons. My skin diving is for fun, I belong to a club here, but I hope to return to the states & get some equipment and start all over again, diving in the keys.

Meanwhile if anyone wonts to come down here, there is this huge area, around 2 to 4 mts deep, (around 12 feet deep) and few mile wide 5 kmts, a plateu in front of a port called Puerto Colombia, the first commercial port in the Colombia, with some wrecks to do. The cacht, we have to wait for rain in order to dive, after the rain, for three days, the water gets so clear and so steady like a glass, where you are able to dive, some fish around, we have the luck to get a wasa, 150 Kilos a 6 feet long "grouper". usually they are around 5 klios. Not to many bue there are some.

See you soon
