Hello,

I just signed up for scuba diving lessons that start in 2 weeks, and thought I would check out this board to get some advice/tips. Anything anyone can throw out at me would be great. The biggest challenge has been spending the last 2 months learning how to swim so I could pass the 200 meter swim, and tread water for 10 minutes. Look forward to hearing from you experts.

Check out our New Divers forum for sure but don't worry - your Instructor must be a good one if he insists on the swim tests. Enjoy yourself. When you get to the Santa Rosa dives, say hi to Stella in the fill shack.

A few suggestions I do like to offer every new member. First, it's good to keep your Profile with location and Dive Info with number of dives up to date so other members can address any questions appropriately; edit these as possibly needed from your UserCP above or the Quick Links above.

And don't be shy about posting. Click Forums above, tour the long list of choices, and jump in anywhere you're qualified. PM me with any questions, and I'll try to find a pretty good answer.
