I am new to scuba. My girlfriend give me scuba lessons for Christmas last year. I am going for my open water certification dive this weekend.

Still having a few problems, but I have been assured things will get better as time goes along.

What a great gift! Hang onto that girlfriend!

Best of luck with your cert. And remember that things that can seem difficult and uncomfortable at first soon start feeling more natural.
