I am a relative newcomer to diving, having only logged just over 50 dives, mostly in warm, clear, blue water. I recently relocated from Iowa (not many decent places to dive) to PA. and am looking forward to getting a wreck/deep certs in the summer and dry/nitrox this spring from a LDS. Right now I am AOW, but consider myself quite inexperienced, especially, obviously, to the Atlantic coast's diving. I've been to Cozumel and am off to the Cayman's in the spring. I am honestly not sure how far I want to go in diving. Deep Tech/cave has some appeal, and I am very serious/ambitious about all I do, but I don't know if I could justify that type of calculated risk in the next year or two when I have kids. I am a pharmacist by trade, so I tend to be very detail oriented. Anyway, take care, look forward to learning from the experienced divers. Late.

I hope so doc. Not having a scuba partner other than my wife (who will not dive in cold or less than pristine vis water) has held me back a bit in the type of diving I would like to do. I really need to find a group of people, or a more experienced "mentor" type willing to pass along his/her knowledge base/experience. For now, I will start by just taking some classed from the LDS.

And welcome to SB. :wavey: Put us in your Favorites and check in often.

I just got back from Cozumel this week :D tell you about it later...
