It has been awhile since I visited these hallowed halls, but now I have a new challenge in my life and am looking for some advice. I love scuba diving (I admit to being a lightweight vacation diver as I live in the Oregon desert). Actually I am passionate about the ocean.
Anyway, last week I was involved in a serious accident that involved an injury where my right lung was collapsed and I was on a ventilator in ICU for 2 days. I had internal injuries involving my liver and a large abdominal incision. While I will be working hard this winter to regain mobility and strength, I just wondered if there were any other divers out there who have experienceed similar issues and if they returned successfully to diving. I most likely won't dive again until late Spring in Honduras, but would like to gather advice from others like me. I'm 55 y/o female in good shape and I am at an optimum weight. Please write if you have any advice or encouragement, I would hate to lose my diving pastime.

Howdy, welcome to Scubaboard...! :)

Message me if I can help you find something.
