Just a quick message to say hello to all the fellow divers out there. I have a pretty poor dial up connection so I may be intermittently here but will try and keep up with it all.

I started diving in 1990 and average about ten to fifteen dives a year as work keeps me from going down all the time. Funny thing is I'm a Marine Engineer and sail on the great lakes for a living. It is quite painful when the ship ties up and you do not have time to dive.

If any one out there has any questions dealing with boats, ships, diesel engines etc I'd be happy to try and help. I have been sailing for about 15 years now.

Diving has been getting a bit more attention during the past few years as there are some other certified divers aboard.

My certification is but Open Water and I may get the advanced this year but don't really expect to go beyond that as the money thing gets a bit out of hand and the tech dives have been canceled due to mostly the cost but also the fact that my better half would terminate all diving if I decided to head in that direction.

Anyway that abit about me. Hope to add some knowledge to some of the forums and vise versa

Welcome. Hope your connection gets better as there are many great topics covered throughout the forums.
