Hello - New Diver from Joliet, Illinois

Hi everyone. I am new to diving - I take my certification classes next month and will be doing my open water certification in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, where my fiance and I will be vacationing with a couple that is good friends of ours. They are all certified divers with MANY dives under their belts. I am very excited to start my classes and even more excited for my dives in Puerto Vallarta.

I joined this board so I could learn more about diving and get any information, helpful tips, etc. on diving in Puerto Vallarta.

Thanks everyone. I just did my classroom work and pool dives this weekend - and it was quite an adventure - but I am all set to go.

Thanks mb diver for the recommendation, but we are already booked with PV Scuba.

You will have a great time with PV (if you dive with Ramses, tell him that Tia says hello!) ....I have only been diving for 6 years and each dive is a thrill and every dive trip is an adventure. Divers just seem to be "good people"....Enjoy!
