Howdy!

And welcome to SB - the biggest, the best, the fastest growing, and :D the friendliest!

Equalizing is the #1 challenge for new divers, and you'll find many threads on that in New 2 Scuba. Look there, and if you still need help, ask there.

Sizing a photo for your profile or Avatar can be a challenge; I'm a fumbling amateur, but I get the job done, if you'd like any help? PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message."

Hi there and welcome to ScubaBoard! I am a teen diver myself (I'm 16!). I would be happy to talk to you about my certification, because I had some huge equalization problems as well. Send me a PM, or my e-mail is k_maskell03@hotmail.com if you want to chat! I hope to get to know you better!

Have fun!

THATS GREAT TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE TAKING THAT FIRST BIG STEP TO MAKING THAT DREAM A REALITY. WELL DONE. I AM AN INSTRUCTOR WITH SSI AND I AM ALL TOO FARMILIAR WITH THE PROBS OF EAR EQUALISATION AND NEW DIVERS. MY TIPS ARE DONT RUSH IN AND TRY AND FORCE YOUR EARS TO EQUALIZE YOU MAY DO SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE I ALLWAYS TELL MY STUDENTS TO TAKE TIME TO EQUALIZE ON THE SURFACE TO MAKE SURE THIER EARS ARE CLEAR BEFORE GOING UNDRWATER AND WITH EACH INHALATION MOST OF ALL TAKE YOUR TIME EARS ARE PRECIOUS THINGS LOOK AFTER THEM. ONE LAST THING HAVE FUN THAT IS WHAT DIVING IS ALL ABOUT. GOOD LUCK!
