Hey, thanks for the welcome and the good wishes. We had a great time. We stayed at the Abram's camping ground in a tent and it was kind of cold for that hence my phrase "Pushing summer" and the water was a little cold for my skin. Just getting into scuba about a year ago I am still diving the warm water 3.5 mm suit and the water was 54F Saturday morning and 56F that afternoon. But I have a good hood and gloves. Weekend before that was 52F so things are warming up. I got to feed the local cat fish and made some dive friends.
I was working near Summersville Lake, WV all last week but I knew that was too cold and the one time we went there were no other divers there. We stayed that week in a log cabin in the Babcock state forest and on the last day I figured out how to start a real fire in that thing. It was a cold one. First morning we woke up to snow. I knew I was really pushing summer then.
Upcoming schedule is back at Rainelle, WV but with the work schedule being what it is and I guess the weather I'll not be able to even get to Summersville Lake. And I will be there alone this time. That will be from 30 April thru 3 May but will likely begin a day or two early.
Mt. Storm Lake, WV is scheduled again while I am working in Romney, WV Monday the 4th thru Wednesday the 6th of May. Being weekdays I guess the chances of anyone making afternoon or early evening dives there will be slim. Kind of why I am posting the schedule. Just maybe there is someone else thinking about it that I can schedule with.
Checking the schedule that will be about all the summer I will get. Weekends will just not be free again but for one or two until August. That's when we intent to return to Florida first just me and the daughter for 2 weeks then another week with the WV family. But jobs are really getting in the way already. They want to work and I want to dive. Need to get the jobs where they have weekends free. I get my promotion and I will be begging them to be college students or something. Whatever gives them weekends free.
Thanks for the welcome and wishes and our best to all. Soon as I get pictures developed I'll get them posted.
Rick
