Hello from down under here in Western Australia Thanks for letting me join this group

I’ve just bought a Backscatter MF2 with snoot
I haven’t dived with it yet but just getting use to setting it up I’ll be using it with my Olympus OMD EM1Mk2 camera in a Nauticam housing
I’ve taken a few images with it above water and it works fine both with an fibre optic cable attached and without the cable So not sure if I really need the fibre optic cable attached ?
I have the flash set to RC mode

Heading out to dive with it tomorrow
Thanks for any advice

Welcome to ScubaBoard

Looking forward to you posting images in the Photography section of the forum when you get a chance.

I wasn't aware that the MF2 worked without a cable, I think this must be an option for Olympus cameras or newer cameras than my old Nikons.

If you plan to snoot, try it with critters that don't move much or move at all, the focus light in the strobe will help guide you.
