Frog diver, Just beware of certian things..
They love to make false prommisses and deals and then when you leave they charge you for it. Also the mere fact they don't have serviced or new gear, they just have an unqualified person Rudi putting regulators together and after checking this, found that the IP was not according to specs. Also the person nixon, fills tanks and does not know what he does, due to the fact that he is not even a qualified gas blender.
So mostly is done with no qualified staff, however they inform the public they have new gear etc...
And how do I know, because i was the Head instr there for 6 weeks and left because of all this iregularities. Libby even went as far as to try and discredit me in the Carribean, with false accusation and making a statement she fired me... well, luckily I have prove of these actions by resigning with the owner's knowledge and therefore are instituting a civil action against her and the company she represented by saying this.
So again, just be aware that the dive center could be a liability due to the fact of unsafe practises.. tank filling, gear repairs etc... it's your right to inquire about it, as a SAFE diver.
Ask them when last they tested the air, because they even neglect to do that as well.
see the credentials of rudi and nixon, for the gear repairs and tank filling station...
This dive center is a accident to happen in my opinion, and even other instr on island will confirm that Libby , as a new DM, does not have a clue to run a succesfull dive centre.
So dive centers I would reccomend on island is UDC, Ecomarine, Underwater visions and that is it. They are professional and adhere to safety practises in the diving industry at all times, and give the best training around, with instr having worked the industry for years.
