Ok, probably not...actually, definitely not. We do have a couple of hot spring fed lakes that aren't horrible diving though.

I've gotten a lot out of reading scubaboard in the past and became a member a while ago, but thought it was time I venture into participating.

I recently returned form an Agresssor live aboard in Turks and Caicos once again awaiting my next dive trip. Too bad I can only squeeze in about one real trip a year. I do actually try to do some diving around my home in Utah, but it isn't very exciting compared to other locations.

Hey Brian, Welcome to SB, once a year is better than none. You could alway dive the Great Salt Lake, I hear the Sea Monkies are cool. :D

You've obviously never been to the Great Salt Lake. It is about 30' at it's deepest and when the wind blows across the lake into the city we get a little effect we like to call lake stink. Not to mention that you'd probably have to carry about 30 lbs of weight just to get your head under.I hear it's great for sailing and wind surfing, but the fun ends there.

:confined: I wanted to welcome you to the community. I think it’s the best board on the internet for divers. The people on here make it a really friendly place. It’s a great place to see what’s going on with divers. If you’d like to chat, please PM me. Just wanted to make you feel welcome!

Safe Diving, Take care. :azvatar:

You are more correct than you think! You could call Utah the dive capital of the states and be correct in a way. Utah is reported to have the highest per-capita concentration of divers in the U.S. (You folks are big on outdoor sports for sure)

Welcome to the board!
When did Utah beat Colorado out of that honor?

I could be wrong. I heard it from an 'unofficial source'.

Welcome to the board. If you have a chance, give me a PM. I would love to hear about your liveaboard trip to Turk. I want to go there.. I heard it has some of the best wreck diving...

Have you checked on weekend flights to Los Angeles? Great liveaboard diving there...
