Howdy neighbor!

Prices on renting vary depending on what you rent and who/where you are renting it from. Personally I prefer to own all of my equipment to keep things familiar, sanitary, and optimized for me, but occasionally rent tanks for local diving. Renting has its' place, but if you think this will end up being a regular thing then purchasing is the way to go.

What is the current viz at travis? Anything interesting in there to see? Have not made my way to dive it yet.
 
Expect 10'-15' vis. Sometimes less near the shoreline and sometimes more below the thermocline.

Rock formations and grottos are cool. Pecan trees. Typical dive park features such as sunken boats and planes. Over at Starnes Island we treasure hunt for expensive items dropped in the water by the party barge drinkers.

I'm going out tomorrow.
