I joined Sb a few weeks ago and I am going to post after reading a lot of the posts. This seems like another great online diving forum that deals with a lot of different diving related topics.

So here goes...my name is John I am a diveaholic...seriously I am 29 and I am a Florida native and I have been diving since 89. Diving was never a great love of mine till I took a trip to the Tortugas on a live aboard. I took up spearfishing on that trip and it renewed my love for this hobby. I can't get enough of this diving thing now. I only wish I had done more of it than just a couple times a year when I was younger.

I am always trying to plan charter trips to the Gulf so if you are interested in doing some gulf diving drop me a line and let's have some fun!

I mostly hang out on Spearboard with the other spear fishermen, but I like the general knowledge diving info that gets tossed around here and I hope to learn and also contribute.

Let's get wet!

And welcome to SB. :wavey: Put us in your Favorites and check in often. We could use more experienced fellows like yourself.

Hye John! The responsible parties here don't allow posting the same test in two different forums. I know - sometimes it seems logical, and I got called down on for it when I was new, but it's a no-no. :nope:

Otherwise, as I said in Intros, welcome to SB...

Hello and welcome. I'm new to the board also. I've been diving for a year and a half now and it's great to be here.

biggsy,

You are in a great area, there are several boarders around Ft. Myers/Port Charlotte. When weather gets nicer usually someone is always diving on the weekends, mostly up in Venice.

Check the Florida Conch Divers Section often to see who's doing what.

Have you had any exciting adventures while spearfishing?
