hello, I just dived in Jeju Island last week, and had an amazing time. "Diveland" shop located in Seogwipo, on the southern tip, took me to some of the best locations to dive. They had tons of soft corals, especially carnation corals, and variety of marine life. Dive guides were extremely friendly and professional. I would strongly recommend them. I did underwater photography and spearfishing.

Welcome to ScubaBoard!

Since you dive in Korea, I'm wondering if you ever encounter the kelp Sargassum filicinum there? It invaded the waters off "my" island about three years ago with disastrous effects. I'm interested in what it is like in its native range which includes Korea.

Welcome to the board. Man I bet that place has changed since I was last there in 1977.... TDC sure has.

Welcome. This is Bob from wetROKsdiving Home in Daegu. I've been to Jeju several times myself. You should try Woodo Island off the North East tip. Fantastic caves to dive. And Dolphins pass there almost daily from Sept to Nov. The island has less than 100 inhabitants and it's really quiet. Black sand beaches too.
If you want to make some east coast dives, let me know. We dive every weekend if the weather cooperates.

Im not sure if I did, but I'll try to look out for them next time. Are you referring to catalina as "my" island? did my open water there.
