Hi Guys and Gals.
Hope the greeting is allowed.
I am not really new to diving having been certified in 1972. On my certification dive my rental reg was stolen and the dive shop insisted that I replace it with a new one. That financial crimp put an end to my prefamily diving activity.
Marriage, work, family, private school all got in the way until my firstborn took Scuba certification as a university elective.
My youngest daughter was PADI certified and I had the distinct pleasure of accompanying her on her dives and so refreshed myself.
All was well until some well meaning adults told her that she should be scared and that scuba was a dumb activity for a girl. Second ending.
Invested in DIR gear and intended to dive with my kids but that was not to be either. One moved far inland, the other never recovered from her shaming.
So here we are. Perhaps we shall try again.
Cheers.
