Hi everybody, what a great board!

I'm a new diver experience-wise, even though I actually got certified several years
ago. I got certified in the Keys, then I came home and did a couple of drysuit dives
before I was really ready. The experience was so uncomfortable for me that I hung
it up for awhile. Now I'm diving a wetsuit in the same waters, and I'm having a last!
All of the drysuit guys keep telling me I'm supposed to be cold, though.

:salute:

WELCOME to Scuba Board TekRefugee!!!
There are several of us returnees on the board, CONGRATULATIONS for coming back to the best addiction available.
There is information here about almost everything imaginable, the rest you can ask about. The trick is learning to find what already exists, most do a quick search and ask. Whichever works for you. Reading the threads is almost as entertaining and addicting as SCUBA.
I hope to see you often in the threads, posting questions, answering, and whatever else you're driven to do (within the guidelines of course).

Tom

If you'll simply click ScubaBoard.com above, you'll be taken to our long list of forums, a wealth of information and resources. My favorite is at the bottom: Singles Dive Club.

Man, I don't know about this wet diving up yonder. I'll go wet to 50F, but below that - I'd have to think dry. I guess you're tougher than I am. Probably younger, but then - most people are.

PM me if I can help you learn your way around; that is - click my username to the upper left, then follow the prompts to send me a "Personal Message." :thumb:

I'm definitely not a tough guy, 50F would be cold for me, too. We had 54F last week,
which was almost toasty in a 6.5/6.5 farmer john. Still, most folks around here
seem to go dry more or less all the time.

I'm planning to go wet until I can't stand it, probably mid-late Nov. We should be
down to low 50's by then, and we'll see if I'm still talking big about being
warm enough! I'm headed for the tropics (Belieze) in early Jan. I'm just going to hang
it up in the NW in the months where I'm too cold in a wetsuit.

Hi there and welcome to ScubaBoard! I live in Burlington, which is about 60 miles north of Seattle, so I'm in the PNW too! Have fun and safe diving!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

As long as you're not cold, that sounds great!

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or repsond to in this forum.
