Well, I have just started back to diving after a very long hiatus. Gained Open Water last summer and have just had a couple of dives this year so far, and looking forward to more dive time so I can take the Advanced course for all the good wreck diving in Lake Ontario.
I am interested in finding dive buddies in the Ottawa area. And am hoping to get in a quick trip to Halifax later this summer for a couple of dives if anybody is interested in taking me out a couple of the better sites.

Take care

Dave

Hey Dave, welcome to ScubaBoard. Plenty of Canadians on the board. Good luck hooking up with them. Check them out here.

Hello Dave,
:yl2jump: Welcome to ScubaBoard! I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here. There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care and Happy Diving. Matt. :snorkels:

Welcome to SB.com. Good place to find fast track info and more, and I think we have members at Halifax, too. PM me if I can help you find your way around here or anything else here.

Hi Dave,

Welcome to ScubaBoard. I go out Wednesday evenings with a group of between 10 and 20 divers from Divers Wearhouse / Adventures in Diving. We meet at the Divers Wearhouse shop at 5pm (Hunt Club / Merivale) or at the dive site at 6:30pm. Our sites are usually somewhere along the St Lawrence. This week's drift dive was in Lock 21 on the Long Sault Parkway and next Wednesday's dive is a nice drift dive at Lock 28 (just east of Prescott), which starts at the Kitty Hawk wreck and drifts downstream to the Connestoga wreck. This is a good novice drift dive. The following week (July 20) is another drift dive at the Windmill site but I haven't been there before so I don't know much about it.

If you're interested in coming out with us, give Tom a call at Divers Wearhouse 723-3055 and ask for the Wednesday evening shore dive schedule. There's also a weekend charter schedule if you'd like to do some boat diving.

Cheers
Mike
