New diver myself, just a little over a year with my AOW certification. I am from South Carolina so I am only familiar with freshwater. I received my cert in Lake Jocassee in Salem, SC. It is one of the "famous" lakes around here. In Charleston, SC, they have the Cooper River which holds prehistoric treasures, from shark teeth to mammoth tusks. The viz is limited and there is a constant current. These might be worth concidering if you ever pass through. WELCOME !!!
