Hi Everyone,

I'm a fairly new scuba diver, started in August 2023. Currently at 100 dives and a SSI Divemaster certification from DPM in Koh Tao, Thailand. Looking for ways to practice and keep current, as well as find my scuba diving community in the city.

Thinking about Utila, Bonaire, or Egypt for my next trip.

An airline hub like NYC is a great place for a traveling diver to be! I mean, you could live in Oklahoma. (Just kidding, @JMart. Determined divers live everywhere.)

with easy access to three major airports, good diving is within a 4 hour flight. its actually cheaper to fly to Cozumel and dive than it would be to do local diving if you don't have a car.

Hello from a Yonkers native. Have you dived locally NYC area?

No car for me, definitely need to check out Cozumel!

I haven’t dived locally yet. Any tips?

Check out Big Apple Divers

They're a very active dive club in NYC. They have local shore diving opportunities, charter local NJ wreck dives, run trips, have social events, and monthly meetings.
