Thank you all for your warm welcome! I just got back from Peru today and unfortunately I didn't even get to dive!!! The diving in Lima is apparently not to great. The vis was horrid and the ocean pretty turbulent, so the divemaster recommended not to go. He also said that there is better diving in northern Peru, in Punta Sal for example. WHen I go back for a longer period of time I will definitely have to go check it out and let you all know how it went!
