Hi Everyone,

I live in the San Jose area and have been not been able to dive as much as I would like due to the fact that I have a 17month old daughter. Now that she's a little older, I'm making an effort to get back into my cold water diving in Monterey.

Previous to having her, I would dive almost every weekend and take two dive trips a year. I've slowed down quite a bit but look forward to mom-daughter dives one day :D

It's so great to be getting back in the water - it feels like I've "come home."

I look forward to chatting with everyone on different topics.

Hey there is a "meet and greet" So.Cal./Nor.Cal. gathering next weekend in Monterey... drop on by and say hi.

Welcome aboard Karen!!

Nice to hear that you're planing to take your daughter diving when she grows a little older.

My dad took me diving for the first rtime when I was 8 years old, and now there is nothing i love more then going on a liveaboard with him and argue about if it was a Pyjama cardinalfish or a Banggai cardinalfish we saw on the previous dive. :)

Happy diving!!

Hi Sanna!

I think I remembered reading that you are working and diving in Phuket - my favorite place on earth! I dove with Scandinavian Divers several times off the Viking of the Orient (no longer in business, sadly.) I loved the boat and it's owner Einar.

Anyway, I have many fond memories of Phuket and diving the Similan islands and hope to take my daughter and husband there one day.

Do you ever feel like Thailand has spoiled you for any other place? I kind of felt like that when I came back home both times ;)

Welcome to Scubaboard :)

We dove Monterey yesterday and had 40 foot vis and a fun filled dive at Pt. Lobos.
