Im new to the site and looking to get back into diving. I havent been diving in many years but my sons are old enough to get certified and are asking about a class. Im getting the itch again but have to find some locations in Lake Erie or nearby.

Lots of wrecks and pretty good visibility. Im not sure how many people take advantage though

Theres Gilboa and Whitestar Quarries on the western side of Ohio near Findlay/Ottawa. Theres also Twin Quarries in Circleville that are shallow. Erie has a ton of good wrecks but the farther you go north...the deeper they get. Around Cleveland theres a few that are shallow.

Welcome to the addiction! Plenty of great diving on Erie. A couple of great clubs for you to check out: Look them up on Facebook. Lake Erie wreck divers LEWD and BAD.. Bay area divers. Osprey runs Charters out of Westfield, NY also.
