Hi all. I'm a new diver from Los Angeles. Just got my open water cert on a trip to Kauai. I'd like to do some more diving now, meet some people, and perhaps get my Advanced open water cert in order to do some wreck diving.

I currently have a good mask/snorkle/fins set up and a new 7mm fullsuit and booties. I'd like some advice on the next gear I should buy (if any). Regulator with a computer?

Welcome aboard here and to the underwater world!!!!

With a good 7mm suit, it sounds like you are planning to dive off our wonderful cool waters locally...Go get wet and find out what the locals like in gear.
Don't rush to buy until you have an idea what's out there.
Oh by the way, AOW does get you started with more training but won't get you into full wreck diving...just get wet and get comfortable in the water and have fun.:D

Thanks for the welcome and thegood advice.

Welcome to SB and diving. An AOW cert will allow you to reach wrecks at depths greater than 60 fsw. However, if you are considering penetrating the wrecks, look into proper training for overhead environments.
