thank you all for the info. I live in Burlington, KY. So, that puts me in the vicinity of Indiana and Ohio. I updated my profile, but it's fairly boring.

Welcome to the board. Stay awhile and I'm sure you'll enjoy.

Welcome to the board! I'll chime in and say that taking the introductory (Open Water) course is the first step toward exploring the underwater world. Once you learn how to go down and come back up without problems, there is an amazing amount of stuff to see under the surface.

Good luck. I hope to cross paths underwater,
Grier

Welcome to ScubaBoard!! One important thing to keep in mind before getting certified is that Scuba Diving starts as a hobby, but turns into a way of life!! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me!! Safe diving!

Cheers,

Hello everyone. I am new here and I really don't know much about scuba diving nor have I ever been exploring underwater. I understand that there are a lot of lakes in my area that are situated on top of old towns. Kentucky is also notorious for caves. I am very interested in learning about any scuba diving programs in my area and I would love to find some photos of any town remnants underwater. I went on vacation to Lake Cumberland in Ky. this past week and if anyone's interested , I think that would be a great place to explore.

Greetings from Matt,

Welcome to Scuba Board! I came here to look for help with my scuba diving dream and the response has been fantastic. So, I know you will enjoy being a member here.
There are a lot of nice and informative scuba divers. It's a good place to meet other divers and share experiences and dreams. Take care from Matt. :butnhome:
