Thanks for the tip. I will check out the GL wrecking crew. My wife and I are going to be doing a little wreck diving practice next week in Coz and also a little drift diving. We have not made the dry suit plunge yet, but are going to take the training in a couple of months. I would expect the Great Lakes to be a little cooler even in the summer months.

That reminds me, do you have an opinion on dry suits?

I'll let you know after this weekend. I am set to make my first drysuit dives with a group of experienced drysuit divers. :D:D
 
I recommend DUI. They make great suits that are extra tough. They also have a line of suits that have removable neck and wrist seals. These allow you to change one in the field with little effort or experience.

You will love diving the great lakes dry. It takes a few dives to get used to your suit, but once you do, your 7mil will start collecting dust.

DUI is definitely at the top of my list, though I have had some people tell me that the DUI suits tend to squeeze more. What is your experience? Do you prefer the looser fitting nylon type over the neoprene type dry suit? I spent some time reviewing the various suits listed in Sport Diver Mag.....this just made the decision more confusing. That is a lot of money to spend and I am trying to make the best choice as I will be buying 2 (the wife is also the dive buddy) My biggest issue is do I go with the neoprene or the newer type material? Any words of wisdom from experienced Dry Suit divers would be greatly appreciated.......SD44
