Hey there, currently a DM candidate in Taiwan and dive nearly every weekend. Not a huge foreign dive scene here but secretly some amazing diving. Will probably be very active in the future and look forward to the world of knowledge I will be able to gain here.

Welcome to Scubaboard, Nate.

Non-diving friends of mine return to Taipei every summer to visit their parents and are always trying to convince me to join them. I'd been before but was a non-diver at the time so did the tourist sites....loved the National Palace Museum, could spend days wondering all the various rooms.

Where are the amazing diving in Taiwan? I've heard of Kenting.

Good luck on your DM.

welcome aboard!!!!

Yeah, Taipei is awesome for checking out the museums and all. I live down in Kaohsiung so I don't get up there so much but I get to Kenting almost every weekend. Kenting is definitely the easiest diving on the island as far as logistics and everything goes and has some pretty good dive spots, but the islands are probably the best in my opinion. Two in particular, Green Island, and Orchid Island.

Yeah, experience has definitely been where I have learned the most, regretfully through hard knocks.
