Hello from Metro Detroit!

I certified back in the mid-'90s (AOW), ALURT dive team, and tended chamber. All of my experience has been in the Great Lakes region. Then I had other priorities that took me away from the water. I decided to return to diving and landed here to:
  • learn
  • to find new dive buddies
  • to kick myself, for selling my old gear
So, to start this off right, a question:
What is all this warm water diving I keep reading about? Is this just a euphemism for y'all peeing in your wetsuits?

Thank goodness, another Great Lakes, cold water diver. I don’t know what warm water is either. I’m in the Chicago area but there are a number of others in Michigan and Ohio. I’m a Downriver Detroit native (Trenton), EMU class of ‘91.

Welcome!

Peeing in a wetsuit joke… you will fit in great here on SB!

welcome and happy diving!
