Hello everyone. I found this forum a little after I was certified about two months ago. I have been addicted to it but this is the first time I have posted anything.

Anyway I have questions, but I guess this is the place to start.

Destin has a "pretty active" dive crowd from here on Scubaboard. You can find most of them by posting in that above forum or going along with them on Jetty or other trips.

here you will find several local divers who are some of the most welcoming people I have ever met. I recently moved to the area, and was surprised to find how friendly the local divers turned out to be. Of course, once I got to know them, I realized some can be a bit sarcastic and taunting. I still let them dive with me though.

There's some very interesting diving in the area. There is usually some sort of dive gathering every week. Keep checking the local threads, and feel free to join us.

Yes he's right... There are several of us "great people to dive with" from over the AL line.....

Don't let his taunting scare you. Photohikedive is great to dive with. He'll even take you to a Cypress Springs dive and let you dive in his boat and not even make you chip in for gas money.

Feel free to ask him why he doesn't ask for gas money for his boat... (it's because it's "lacking" of an motor, thus no need for gas, and you have to get out and push and pull the boat upstream.) Simply put.... he suffers from "boat motor envy" (or lack of motor envy) and is having difficulty with it..... *sigh*

Everyone now: "Row, Row, Row your boat, gently up the stream..."
