Hi All!
My wife and I are both rabid about diving and are going to start our Dive Master course in 2009. Our local dive shop is the National Diving Center in DC. Great folks! We hope to be able to help them out even more with DM certs next year.
We had our honeymoon in Bonaire, staying at the Plaza, and loved every minute! Have been to Mexico several times, but avoided Cozumel, even though I'm still curious about it. Most recently, we were in Mahahual in Sept, which was a very long 4 hour drive south from Cancun. Small and remote town, but wonderful people and the folks at Dreamtime Resort were fantastic. If you're looking for great reef diving with fewer people around, consider Mahahual.
With the cold weather here, we're planning a trip back to Bonaire in Feb and I've started scouring the boards for cheap places to stay - all we need are the basics and a kitchenette to save $ on meals. Any thoughts?
