Been around water all my life. A bit of snorkeling, a lot of water sports. I was captain of my swim team. I am comfortable in the water. I recently had an invitation to Kauai for New Years. I thought it was a great reason to get certified, something I've wanted to do for a long, long time. I visited all the dive shops I could find in Columbus, Ohio. Settled on the one I like for training. I hit the pool tomorrow for my first confined dive.

Pleasure to me everyone.

Thanks

Traijin

Welcome Traijin to SB. This is just the beginning of a great adventure enjoy. When you are ready for open water I am always looking for a new dive buddy. I live near Wheeling WV only 2 hours away. Tim

Welcome to SB Traijin. I'm also from the Wheeling area.

4boysdad, where exactly are you from. I'm from Bridgeport and looking for people to dive with also. Have you dove anywhere local? I'm still a newbie. I got certified 2 years ago at Ohio U. At the end of July I completed my first 2 open water dives at Myrtle Beach in which I really enjoyed. If you ever want to go, just hit me up. I can only go mainly on weekends due to work.

Both of you guys should check out divebuddy.com. Its a great site for finding dive buddies. My name on there is OUBobcat if your interested.

Pleasure to meet ya'll, One more confined dive on Wednesday and then I'll be doing the open Water Dives next week end. Soon I'll be looking to dive while the weather is still good, given I probably won't get a heavy exposure or dry suit until next year.
