Hello all my diving friends! Just came aboard. Looks like a great place here. Glad I found it.

Not a very experienced diver, maybe 15 dives total. Mostly vacation dives in Mexico! (Hard to dive much up here in the frozen tundra!

Thanks for the site and I hope I learn a lot here.

Welcome to the board! There's always ice diving:D. I was in SD a couple of years ago (my mom is originally from Rapid City) to celebrate my parent's 40th wedding anniversary. It had been 25yrs since I had been to Rapid City & the Black Hills. So much had changed, yet so much was the same from my younger days. It is still sooooo beautiful there. Safe diving & I hope you enjoy the board!

Hello

Where are you from in SD? I grew up around Pierre, learned to dive at SDSU, lived in Sioux Falls for awhile and spent about 15 years in the Black Hills before moving here, so I am pretty familiar with all the dive shops in the state.

9 degrees in South Dakoda ooooo that is cold. I am glad I live in California. I just had a night dive in Monterey last night. Diving Point Lobos next week.

Welcome to Scubaboard.

Thanks for the welcomes everyone! Bogie: It was -23 here yesterday morn!!! DA: I presently live in Watertown. (Grew up in Wis) You probably know Wat town is about 100 miles north of S Falls. Froig: I dove the iron pitts near Brainard last summer. J Yaeger: You are right about the people here, they are VERY nice! Can't tell you how many times I have been pulled out of ditches, drove home and towed home by total strangers in the winter.

Thanks again, I am going to Cancun in 2 weeks. My wife cannot dive due to a knee problem. Think it will be a problem to just show up and buddy up at a dive shop?

Do me a favor and keep the cold air up there!
