Hello from Clarksville

Just wanted to drop a note and say hello. I am new to the area (and this board) and looking for some opportunities to hit the water. My dive buddy (my wife) is out of commission for about 7 more months. Anybody going anywhere local, would love the chance to get wet.

How far is Clarksville fron Knoxville. I live 115 miles north of Knoxville

Welcome to the board. It doesn't look like Clarksville is too far from from Cerulean Springs in Kentucky. I am looking to dive there this weekend and there is a good chance I will need a buddy if you are interested.

Would love to go. Cerulean is only about 30 miles from my house..I think. But I will be out of town for the holiday weekend. Next time?

If you go to Hopkinsville and then north on Pennyrile (a.k.a. 41 North), look for Hopkinsville airport, turn east there and then immediatly right one more time and you'll find Pennyroyal. They have a web site, but I can't remember the name. Pretty close to Clarksville. Depth down to 100 foot plus, temp down there as well 44 deg. F. Viz can be from 5 to 30 foot...depending.

It takes 3 1/2 hours to get from Knoxville to CLarksville. My family lives there and when I was stationed at Fort CAmpbell they used to visit all the time and vice versa. I currently live Nashville(bellevue area). I dive Rockdivers and Martha's Quarry and Pennyroyal myself with my husband.

I have heard of (but never been to) Martha's Quarry, but where is Rockdivers?

I dive Cerulean and Pennyroyal alot.

Rockdivers is in Huntsville, AL(techinally Madison) and is about 2 hours from Nashville.

They have a rocket in the center of the quarry.
Martha's is nice, I really like Fred who runs it. Martha's is right off of exit 232. It has a nice crusher house you can swim through that is 4 stories.

I have a minivan and we could all take a ride with a group of 7 sometime if anyone is interested? I just got done with rescue diver and I know instructors in all the areas.
We are going to Ceruleuen Springs tomorrow.
