I am a very new diver. California's cold ocean water intimidates me a little but it is where I live and I am determined.I have lake experience only.Looking forward to seeing the beauty and I love the feel of being underwater. Thank you to everyone who posts I am learning allot from you and I appreciate it.

Welcome to SB xfox100,
I too am new to diving and more new to diving Monterey. It really isn't that bad at all, I'm plenty warm in my 7 mil wetsuit. Have some warm soup between dives, that helps too.

Welcome to the board!

Yeah, the water is a little cool there, but it's interesting diving. Be sure to check on the California dive club forums. Lots of activities and new buddies there. PM me if I can help you find your way around the board there...
