Just joined in the fun and thought this would be a great resource of info for our questions. Only have been certified since 2007 and can't wait to experience the rest of this beautiful planet from the bottom up! Look foward to chatting with you, happy diving!

Howdy and welcome to :scubaboad: :D

Yes, welcome to the Board. I'm sure that you'll find a
great deal of good information here.

Did you make the New Years dive in Skaneateles Lake?
Or are you more of a warm water diver like me?

Enjoy your diving!

Skaneatles Lake in Jan. are you nuts? No way, no how! I am definatly a warm water diver. I only dive the lake when I have to do the open water dive for a class certification. It's boring, cold and, well I think thats enough reasons why I don't like it. I never plan to own a dry suit. I know that will didappoint some of our fellow scuba people out there, but to each their own. Next dive trip is Maui in April, yeah, that sounds warmer already!

Scubaparrothead,

I'm with you - warm water is better.
I'm off to Curacao in two weeks for some
of that warm water diving!
Enjoy Maui, been there but did not get the
chance to dive. Maybe next trip!
Stay warm.

We were in Curacao for a week last November. I was so impressed by the coral. It was so varied and colorful. You will love it, have a great time.

Good to hear.
I've been told of a great deal of reef bleaching.
I've been a bit worried about this trip, hate to spend
three weeks for little return.
Anyway, thanks for the info and enjoy your
trip to Hawaii.
