I have been lurking here for a while and have also posted a couple comments here and there. I thought I would finally say hello to everyone out there in cyberland. I have family in Hawaii and dove back there in March...they were my last dives in forever. I live on the Central Coast of CA and plan on checking out what is out here to dive. Looking to get a 7mm for the coast and start to get wet over here. So if you are near me, (even if you aren't), say hello.

Welcome to the board! Where are you located? There is a lot of diving on the central coast...very different from Hawaii...but also very rewarding.

I'm in SF.

Don't forget to get a hood or beanie, too. Gotta' keep the noggin warm as well. :frosty: PM me if I can help you find your way around here....

Hi aenokea, and welcome to ScubaBoard from another golden stater. And I take it your username is your Hawaiian name.
David

"Aenokea" or "Ainokea" is Hawaiian Pidgen for:

Ae= I
no= No
kea= Care

I-No-Care.

Its not as exotic when you know what it means. I just like the way it sounds!

By the way, I am not Hawaiian, but I married into it.

You might consider a dry suit instead of a 7mm. It's pretty cold on the CA central coast.

Glad to see you on Scuba Board, aenokea and Welcome! and Safe Diving. Matt. :monkeydan

Thanks everyone for the warm welcomes. I just went to the Monterey Aquarium today with the family. Made me wanna jump over the rail into the water. The weather was nice...and the water didn't look to bad.
