Hi all! I'm a new diver who hasn't had the funds to go diving since certification (which was back in August... *shame*) I got certified in Monterey Bay on day when visibility was about three feet tops and am excited to experience more diving and (hopefully) better conditions.

Welcome to Scubaboard :)

Make sure to check out the Norcal section here

Thanks! I joined the forum with the hopes of finding other local divers, I have no diver buddies. None of my friends seem to realize the awesomeness of it all...

Coelancanth -- As a new diver, you're likely not outfitted with gear (yet). Keep an eye on CL, or place your own post for low-priced gear. Sometimes gear can be had for cheap or free! With time you'll piece together everything you need.

Um, well, I hadn't considered other divers as 'gear' before...

But hopefully they will be free, its always a hassle to buy other people around Christmas :D

:colouredsmilies: Welcome to ScubaBoard! :colouredsmilies: Come hang out with us NorCal people - we are good folks --- generally! :D
